About the Evil Genius

My name’s Beth Warren and I make things fun.

My work experience is in marketing, promotion, public relations and special events – working primarily in radio and the music business.   

I’ve worked as an on-air personality on both television and radio.. news and music.  I’ve done some work in artist management, talent buying and promoting,  worked for an indie record label.. and at one point years ago I was a professional matchmaker.   Needless to say, I have volumes of experience (not to say I’m old or anything…) in all kinds of things and I’m always on the lookout for new opportunities and adventures.

I’ll be using this blog to comment on all kinds of things involving marketing, promotion and PR.  Some of my posts will be observations, some commentary.. some personal experience.

And I’m sure you’re wondering why I am a self professed Evil Genius?  Someone started calling me that years ago and it’s kind of stuck with me.  I’m smart, I think of unusual things and I make things fun… that’s the genius part.  As for the other.. I mostly use my powers for good, rather than evil.  But “Good Genius” just doesn’t have the same “zing”.

 Long story short.. I’ve been around the block.  I’ve done a lot of stuff. Consequently, I have a lot of experience.
